“Reading the Wind” 「風をよむ」

「風をよむ」
善福寺公園と桃四小学校を結ぶ軸線を想定し、公園内の樹間上の空間と小学校西門の二カ所で作品を設置する。
その軸線と、地域の人々や小学生たちの空へ向ける「眼差し」を絡ませてみる。その「眼差し」の彼方に、さらに大きく広がる環境を流れる、眼には捉えられない「ある風」の気配をよんでみる。
“Reading the wind”
Visualizing an axis line linking Zempukuji Park and Momoshi Elementary School, the work is situated in two locations, the space high between trees in the park and the school west gate. The artist here attempts to entangle this axis line and the skyward “gaze” of community members and school children, endeavouring to read the signs in the “wind” which the eye cannot capture, and which flows in the expansive space beyond this “gaze”.
